Quick Facts

  • Rocky Mountain Quarter Midget Association (RMQMA) was established 1957

  • RMQMA is sanctioned by USAC .25

  • USAC .25 National rules are the same across the United States

  • Quarter Midget racing is for Boys and Girls ages 5-16

  • Children can practice starting as young as age 4 1/2 then start racing at the age of 5.

  • ALL children start in the Rookie program and graduate to competitive racing on their own merit

  • RMQMA race schedule runs April - September

  • IMI Motorsports, located off Summit Blvd and Colorado Blvd, is our Home racing facility. 

  • There are two additional Quarter Midget clubs in Colorado - PPQMA in Colorado Springs - SCQMA in Puebo

  • Cars are sold in three (3) different sizes: Small (76"), Medium (78"), and Large (80")

  • You need to ensure that the car fits your child's size. 

  • The average price of a used car is between $1,500 - $3,000

  • A minor hand tool set is required to work on cars. 

  • Safety gear (helmet, suit, gloves, belts) you should budget $300 and up. 

  • Club membership $100 annually (Jan 1 - Dec 31).

  • Race day fees $35 for the first car and $30 per additional car that your child runs.

  • Spectators admission is always FREE!
